Sage 50 version 2023 New Features

Version 2023 for Sage 50 has been released. The first thing to consider is, if one of these situations applies to you, then you’ll need to hold off upgrading until you are ready.

  • If you’ve got custom reports that you have written by using Sage Intelligence Reporting, do not upgrade them yet. Sage Intelligence Reporting isn’t part of and will not integrate into conjunction with Sage 50 2023. Therefore, do not upgrade until you the reports have been recreated in a different tool for reporting. Sage recommends XLGL from Logicim for possible replacement.
  • Version 2023 conflicts with prior versions of Sage 50. If you’re among the few users that need to run several versions that are compatible with Sage 50 US Peachtree, then you’ll have to install Version 2023 on a separate computer or a virtual PC.

With those two warnings removed Here are the changes you’ll notice in Sage 50/Sage 50cloud 2023.

Efile 1099s via Aatrix – Every customer who has an active subscription will be able to use Aatrix to create 1099s, comprising 1099-NEC, 1099MISC, 10-99-INT, and 1099-K. The 1099/1096 editable formats that were previously accessible via the Forms menu were removed to ensure that they are in line with the current formats.

Efile 1099s through Aatrix — If you require file 1099s electronically but aren’t an employee then you can add a file account to Aatrix without requiring an existing payroll subscription.

Windows 11 Compatible – sage 50 accounts software is now fully compatible with Windows 11.

Actian Zen v15.1 Database – The Sage 50 database has been upgraded to Actian Zen v15.1 for enhanced performance and stability.

Modernized Help System The help of Sage 50 currently is available within your default browser, making it easier to find help and also allowing users to bookmark pages for future reference.

Internet Explorer Dependencies Removed – In order to provide an environment more secure, Sage 50 no longer needs Internet Explorer.

dropped support in Sage Intelligence Reporting – Beginning on October 1, 2022. Sage Intelligence Reporting was retired however, it continued to function on the existing versions. It’s not included in and will not be compatible in conjunction with Sage 502023.
